Good baby gate without the trip hazard!
I really like this new baby gate we put up as I was constantly bashing my toes on our old one. It's good value for money and pretty easy to put up. The mechanism is a bit fiddly when closing, as you have to push and hold the release while pulling the gate out. Also it is quite noisy when you release it to close when it winds back in, not great if you have a sleeping baby and you let it go by accident! Poor design
Well first of all the instructions provide pictures of a reasonable quality but are poorly laid out and misleading at times. Luckily, It’s easy to fit but unfortunately it’s the design that lets it down. The instructions say that you need to pull the gate at the centre to avoid damaging the gate, and yet the handle is at the top. Pulling the gate at the centre I’m sure over time will also eventually lead to damage as your not using the proper handle. It’s very noisy to operate so not ideal for bedtime and it’s difficult to fasten closed. You have to pull against the spring load to fasten it first in the bottom catch, then the top, so you’ve got no chance doing it with only one hand, which as any parent knows, Is going to be important at some point. Stair gate woolibaloo
I never leave bad reviews ever and have used Ebay for years ... Poor quality absolute nightmare to even open dog can just get underneath and so can children I do not recommend and when I tried to get a refund they were telling me I opened it incorrectly it is what it is a stair gate and yes I read the instructions .... rip off and no refund may aswell bin it do NOT buy go for the expensive ones this is cheap for a reason I have forward videos of many people trying to open the gate and they literally just say each time u are opening the technical gate incorrectly lol just an absolute joke ..... Stylish and good quality stair gate
This is an unusual stair gate in that when open there is no obstruction. It looks much better than a normal stair gate. It is slightly more difficult to install and use, but all the same, it is a very good product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good for pets, not sturdy enough for a baby gate
This gate is an excellent idea as you can fold away the fabric gate when it's not needed. I don't think the fabric would be sturdy enough to be used as a baby gate but it would be perfect to use for pets.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Well made, shame about design
For the price compared to others it’s well made and looks like it should last, but it’s awkward to use even with both hands, extremely stiff to extract as if ratchet mechanism is not releasing correctly, apparently this is normal but I’m not convinced as other manufacturers have quiet extraction and noisy return. More effort to shut it that open
I can't believe it's designed to be more effort to close than to open. You have to twist a button to pull out the gate and try to get it in the hook before it retracts itself! I bought this to stop the 18 month old getting to the front door opening it and then escaping with the dog (have a chihuahua) but the toddler can easily open it simply by hitting it which falls out the clips and retracts. Noisy and hard to do
This item is a lovely design and looks nice when fitted. However when being pulled out back it is very very noisy with clicking as it comes out and in. (Waking baby) You also have to use two hands to operate this to open and close so cannot hold your baby in one arm and open and close it with the other arm you have to put the baby down to operate.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very hard to use + Noisy
Used it for 2 weeks before the safety knob stopped springing back. Gate is noisy to open & close and would need 2 hands to shut the gate. Would not recommend if you have others sleeping near the vicinity of the gate due to the noise.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
