I use these headphones for gaming but mo...stly for conferencing overseas and they are the best I had so far for this, the microphone picks my voice clearly while the office noise is mostly cancelled and they offer excellent insulation so I can hear without outside noises. The build quality is also very good with high quality plastics and metal. Also the volume on the wire (a very long wire wrapped in thread) is smooth, without jumps and has a handy mute microphone button. The fold up microphone makes it easy to put away when not used. I also have the 7.1 model (G430) but unless you play some really immersive 3D games you would not feel the difference. The downside of these headphones compared to the G430 is that they do not have the USB connector and the possibility to use the gaming software from Logitech to tune the equaliser.

Put my "refurbished" headphones in my computer and the mic doesn't... work. Tried looking at all my settings even going to youtube. Tried searching for drivers and nothing. Feel ripped off. The headphones only play sound if I have it hanging out the jack. It's a 3.5mm jack and headphones are 3.5mm so clearly this has faults. Lucky I have a condenser mic. Although it came in good time.
