I have about 5 of these little cuties.. I don't have any reptiles though!, (which is what they are intended for - hence the shape of them at the back) but i find them handy and quite discreet to sit on various shelves etc in my house so i can keep a check on how that area is doing for humidity as i tend to get a lot of condensation. When it shows a high reading i bring in my trusty dehumidifier and switch it on for a few hours and you can see the humidity reading dropping on the display. It amuses me! Yes,,, i know,,, i need to get me a life!! 'Small things...' and all that! :0)

Don't waste your money. It broke after 2 days of use in an exo terra tank. It didn't like humidity. Useless is most reptile enclosures. It was also difficult to place as nothing came with it ie suction cup.

Amazing price and a compact, robust design. You will, however, need to calibrate it yourself. This really applies to any hygrometer you buy that doesn't explicitly state 'calibrated' on the packaging. Even then, if you're working within narrow tolerance margins, you may wish to do it anyway. The salt method works fine for this - just google 'hygrometer calibration'.

Temp works fine but humidity was always showing high 90s, glad I kept my analog gauge which showed the true figure being in the 50 to 70 range after misting so I could obtain the correct levels for my gecko.
