Excellent for birds and Animals.
I feed it mainly for the Long tailed tits and the Goldfinches but in this hot weather when there is no food around for other birds I also feed crows, jays, pheasants and Squirrels. We have here 3 foxes and they love it. They spend hours just sucking it out of the grass. There must be something really good in there for all these birds and animals to like it. Now the badgers are eating it. So far the deer haven't tried it!! But it is a good all-round food for many birds. Excellent I would recommend it to any one . (I am not on it yet) Brian

An Unannounced Variation in Quality
We have bought sunflower hearts from this supplier before. The delivery time is good. The packaging reasonable. The quality was excellent. However, our most recent delivery seemed a lot coarser than usual. The birds are rejecting a lot more and even when the hungriest scavengers have been there is still a pale husk like deposit on the ground which looks messy and may be a health hazard. I have just put the second 5 kilo bag into the usual bin and I find that it is identical to the first and so, I have to assume,that the first bag was not an anomaly. This is advertised as "Premium Grade". I'm willing to believe that over the past three years or so I have been ordering and receiving "Premium Grade", and I was very happy with that, right up to the latest delivery.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quality sunflower hearts for my garden birds.
These are high quality sunflower hearts which I bought in two 12.5 kg packs for the garden birds rather than one 25kg bag to more easily keep them fresh. Though I might bake with them. I wanted sunflower hearts as the birds don't eat the seed husks and just throw them on the ground.
