Magnavox digital converterbox.
This is the best box for converting your tv. Have another one on my other tv. Tried a RCA one it was horrible box and remote to small. Remote didn't work most of time. THE GOOD: It has excellent reception for the channels in our area. The electronic program guide is a also a nice feature. On the bad side, you cannot program it to change the channel at a specific time for recording specific programs. It does not have any type of sound control, and NO MUTE BUTTON. Those things knocked it down two stars. My TV does not have a remote to control sound. The reason I purchased this converter box was because the remote for my old converter box was old and losing buttons. I researched the price of the replacement remote and discovered that it would be cheaper to actually purchase a new digital to analog converter box so thats what I did. This unit is made El cheapo to the max, but it works. I won't buy another one when this one goes.
Converter works o.k, but is slow to change channels when you press the up and down channel buttons- there is a delay, causing you to press the buttons again which then puts you past the channel you wanted. There are no volume control buttons on the super cheapo remote, meaning you have to have your regular remote that came with the television handy as well to adjust the volume, which is a total pain. My last converter at least had volume buttons, and was quick to change a channel. This thing is almost worthless in my opinion.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
