Bloc Extra Strong Epoxy
Having used a variety of glues over the years I find great variations in setting times, strength and "stick ability" of modern types partly down to copyright or chemical mixtures to make an item cheaper. Still I thought this looked good for quantity and price plus suit my project. It is what I call a runnier version unlike some which are sticky and heavy, which for me was good because it ran into an awkward shape with self leveling properties after mixing. Sticky types have their uses but filling holes can get frustrating when they start to set and pull out again. Within a short time 10-20 minutes it had decided to settle in shape with a tacky surface drying better after 24 hours in some sunlight along the way with a light blue tinge to it. As for giving it a file or painting touch up I did not because this was not important on this job, though my feelings like other epoxies tend to lose their smooth surface when a sharp knife can trim better when needed. Paint for me have been limited to enamel types that like plastic surfaces and skin well over items. At this time I found it a great priced easy mixing epoxy suited for small fillings and repairs which require spreadable on edges etc of items. Very strong glue
This glue is very strong but it doesn't work on everything - I glued a metal costume jewellery ring back together and it only lasted a few hours before the bezel came off again. I also didn't realise that it dried white and not clear, which wasn't ideal for my other jewellery projects. So useful this epoxy. It'll mend practically anything and there's always something to mend. It's easy to mix, fairly quick drying and bonds with a strength that defies logic. Great value for money!
This is a fantastic product and has served its purpose very well! And I still have some left, I am looking For things to fix haha 😂 it dries a milky colour not clear so be aware of this! Make sure you sand or roughen up surfaces your adhering to as when dry it dose come off the smooth spatular provided fairly easy! Resin glue adhesive kit
I needed a quick setting adhesive for a regularly used component in my house. This glue did the job as advertised and I expect it to last indefinitely. Supplying 2 kits in small tubes is a great idea and saves the waste I encountered with the leading brand of epoxy adhesive, which leaked out of their rigid plastic container and I lost all the contents. Works as well as Araldite but costs a lot less. It was the best value I found when I was looking for epoxy glue.
It seems to work as well as Araldite but costs a lot less. Hardens quite quickly so don't mix more than you need each time. There is a short amount of time to adjust the position before it goes off. Sticks small pieces of metal models well. Use tweezers to handle small parts so you don't get the glue on your fingers. Does not stick to plastic. A piece of plastic card makes a good mixing tray. With 4 pairs of 10ml glue (hardener + adhesive) it should last me a while. The supplier advised me that each of the 8 tubes is10g and is expected to last about 2 years from manufacturing date.
