Hotpoint & others top spray arm / gland nut C00144315 - best value on eBay.
This gland nut is used to feed water to the upper basket and if the gland / bush part of it fails then water leaks out of this not inside the dishwasher, pressure is lost and the spray arms will not rotate. I needed one of these to repair a Currys C45B13 compact model. If you look at all the pictures and applications of this nut on eBay you will come to the conclusion that it fits not only Hotpoint/ Indesit, but Ariston, Baumatic and other minority/ offshoot makes like Currys. Such parts can easily cost £6 ~ £8 so this one from LM electrical at a little over £3.50 was the best deal on eBay and has repaired my friend's Currys dishwasher admirably. Whilst you are mending your dishwasher here are a couple of tricks that will help you (especially if you can run it outside). (I) You can defeat the door interlock with a bit of bent coat hanger on these models - you need to select ON and select the program then push in the door interlock with a stiff blade or wire loop, then you can run the machine with the door open and see the spray arms rotating or not. You can then re-open the door switch with a cable tie or a loop of wire placed behind it. You can get a bit wet whilst doing this. (2) The spray arms won't rotate either if the nozzles are blocked with small food particles such as egg or grains of rice. This is easily cured by removing the spray arms and back flushing the nozzles under the kitchen sink tap. Hope all this helps - kind regards - Dave Barrett.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
