Henry King directs Orson Welles's and Tyrone Power in this Oscar nominated film about Cesare Borgia's attempts to conquor Italy in 1500 0 Borgia plans to marry his widowed sister, Lucrezia to the prince of Ferrara, thus increasing the borgia empire. He sends one of his courtiers, capt Andrea Orsini to arrange the marriage. En route Orsini falls in love with Camilia wife of Antonio, the aging ruler of Citta' del Monte.
