Can't run unattended as implied.
It appears to be a good manual-empty dehumidifier with a pump added as an afterthought. It says everything that makes you think it can run automatically unattended even through power outages: the settings are supposed to be maintained, and the pump will drain it for you. All you have to do is clean the air filter periodically. But the pump setting isn't maintained in a power outage, & the bucket will fill up & the unit will shut off. Looking at reviews of this & other dehumidifiers with pumps, I get the impression they all might be this way, and they've had pumps added on without any thought to modify the programming to make them truly operate automatically.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Work great and take the moisture out of the air!
I need a dehumidifier for health reasons and this does the job. I have a very large home and my main living room is 440 sq ft with a 15 ft ceiling. It is adjacent to my 450 sq ft kitchen with a 9 ft ceiling. It brings the humidity down in both room to 55% with no problem. I bought the unit with a pump but find it is just easier to empty the water container by hand in the kitchen sink. I have to empty it 3-4 times a day but it is worth the effort. My only complaint about the unit is, you cant tell how full the tank is. When it is full it stops running and a light comes on which is fine but a better indicator for water level would be great. Be careful not to place the unit near a thermostat because it puts out a lot of warm air and will trick the thermostat to keep the air conditioner running. Mine was set at 78 but the temperature was down to 72 and still running until I relocated the unit. LOLVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Removes mildew smell quickly, great unit!
Replaced old dehumidifier with this one. The moldy smell is gone. Like the ability to drain continuously too. The unit is nicely designed and attractive for what it's function is. I presently have 2 in my basement and they are an excellent choice. The one is 4 years old and runs constantly with a hose attached and the other I just purchased off e bay.
