  • Not Just For Boaters

I bought this as I am planning to cycle from Huddersfield to London (Limehouse on the Thames) using just the canal network wherever possible. This book filled in some of my missing knowledge and if you are a keen cyclist and want to spend more time off road without going extreme mountain biking consider the canal network as an alternative. These waterways guides show just about everything you need to know to navigate canals on and off the water. This includes distances between locks, tunnels and alternative routes if no towpath. Also has useful information about attractions on route, accommodation, dining etc. All in all a very useful series of guides.
