Great little unit
The unit is fair value - a nicely solid-feeling metal unit so I'm assuming plenty of mass to absorb any heat generated. I tested the unit running from a small li-ion in the 2-other2-off pattern and the lamp was still happily running after two hours. It really is proper daylight visible in this mode - and if brightness were a problem I've still got 4on flashing patterns to try. The wire comes out of the middle of the back so the mounting surface needs a 6mm hole. Other holes can be avoided by using adhesive rather than the supplied fixings (I was mounting on Carbon so wanted to avoid unnecessary drilling).
