I have a 9" angle grinder I mainly use for stone and concrete and a 4" battery angle grinder I mainly use for metals. Now, both of them had snatched on me and tightened the flange nuts to the degree you will knacker the tools and your fingers before they come off. In both cases I had to use another angle grinder or better still a reciprocating Multitool, which was safer, to remove the remnants of the blades so as to remove the flange nuts which were then damaged. I bought one of these for one angle grinder and use it for a while and found it a dream, easy on and a simple click and it unscrewed, so, I bought another for my other angle grinder. I have not had a really bad snatch so far so can't say how that will work but I am just hoping I never do but they should come off a lot easier than having to take an angle grinder to them.Read full review

The amount of times that I've bent a pin spanner and had to resort to drifting the frozen locking ring with and screwdriver blade and hammer cannot be counted. I bought the Milwaukee Fixtec grinder nut in hopes of this being better, but I've had problems with that too with bending the loop handle. I've since learned about the benefit of using a good quality grease on the spindle to aid flange nuts. That said buying the Bosch quick locking nut has moved my relationship with the grinder to another level. If I don't use grease, it's not a problem. The nut is really easy to put on and take off, even with a diamond grinding cup. This is not to say that'll fit any disc/cup though. You'll have to figure that out for yourself. Yes, the locking ring is on the large side and I do strike it against the material being ground, but this happens with the smaller profiled flange nut anyway, it just happens more often due to the size. Nothing lasts forever and with close confines grinding I know that eventually the nut will be scored so many times that it'll lose its locking ring or some such. Ideally the boffins at Bosch will design a ring with a more slender profile, but for now this is as good as it gets for me.Read full review

Makes life easier when changing discs! There are others on the market! BUT this is the original and best! (The design hasn't changed in years, so I guess they got it right!!) Recommended!

I was bothered with my grinder`s disc locking nut jamming on and had big problems getting it unlocked. I bought the SDS-clic clamping flange. I have no problem now with the nut jamming on. Brilliant, problem solved.
