  • A venerable kit still worth the effort

The kit is showing its age - so needs some care when assembling - but the model looks every inch a Vulcan, and as far as I know still the only injection-moulded plastic kit around of the Mk 2. I've made two others, so know the small adjustments that need to be made to attach the massive and complex-shaped wings correctly. Still a good kit, but outclassed by the Airfix Valiant and Victor. Considering the age of the moulds, though, a very creditable result!

  • Excellent

An excellent kit, you will need more glue and paint than what is provided though.

  • POORLY PRODUCED PRODUCT

From a manufacturer of Airfix standing this is a dreadful example of what should have been a good experience. Most of the pieces required to be "de-flashed" due to poor manufacturing process. There were quite a number of joints that did not match up thereby requiring "putty" to be applied to disguise the gaps. The paints provided were old and tired and could not be effectively applied.

While this kit is old, the shop had removed the perishable parts and added bubble wrap for additional shipping protection
