Only needed slight tuning
The machining of the center post was slightly off, causing the blade to want to center almost 1/16" off to the left. Slight burr on the back left of the heel. Blade was fairly sharp, but I gave it a slight camber and sharpened it to a finer edge. After that and a little oil and wax this worked great and has held the edge very well. I also got the 60-1/2 version of this, and I will say that I use that one a little more, and find myself going for that one first most of the time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not like the one ones...
Compared to the original planes that this one wants to be like, it is entirely to cumbersome and heavy. I don’t like it at and it’s impossible to find a toothed blade to fit it. Blades are not in the same format as old ones. I think this was made in the same factory as Northwood.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
