After 21 months of trouble free use, my phone suddenly started rebooting itself every 5 seconds and I was unable to find the cause (I tried everything I could think of, including reinstalling the firmware) but it was still the same. As a last resort I decided to try a different battery and this new battery finally cured it! I wish I had thought of replacing the battery first as it would have saved a great deal of wasted time. The new battery works well and the actual capacity seems to be the same as the original battery that was supplied with the phone.

well it works and has a reasonable capacity though I'm not convinced its a genuine Samsung battery but at the price I cannot complain. The previous battery I purchase from a different trader looked exactly the same as the original but died after a few months so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one.
