Perfect replacement, mine was for an old DC35 which was just a couple of screws to undo, pull out the old one push in the new, replace screws, charge and it worked fine. Wanted to see how long it would last without taking my finger off the button, it died at 40 mins. Which is longer than when new. As a side comment there is a choice of two types/models of battery make sure you choose the correct one. Take your vacuum apart before ordering.

Direct exchange for original, easy to fit, two screws to remove and replace. No fitting instructions though. Be sure to check if type A or B on the original battery, you must replace with correct type. The voltage and charger connections are different.
