The unit seems to be a robust build and everything seems to work as any home blood pressure measuring device would, but the main problem is the inconsistent readings. I have new batteries, I take three readings at a time with 2 - 3 minuets between readings. The cuff remains in place, I remain in place, I do not talk or move, my feet are on the floor and the cuff is level with my heart. but the final readings differ considerably. For example, during the first reading the cuff will pressure up to 200ish before deflating, the second reading it pressures up to 160 then deflates and the third pressures to 148 etc. This gives wildly different blood pressure results which obviously can't be relied on, i.e.. 158 / 60 : 117 / 70 ; 138 / 65 - therefore renders the whole unit useless.
