Excellent apart from the plastic smell of contents
I would give five stars if it wasn't for the plastic odour that the contents acquires (from the lid, I assume,) particularly water. Heat retention is very good. I tested the heat over a 25 hour period: the water at 90 degrees, in the pre-heated flask declined to 69 degrees in 24 hours. The room temperature was around 20C for the duration. It does indeed keep water at usable temperature for 45 hours. My guess is it dropped to around 50 degrees after 45 hours. Usable but more warm than hot. I can't say much for keeping other liquids other than water but providing the liquid is over 90 degrees, yes, indeed it does stay quite usable for 45 hours. Comparing this rather expensive flask to a mid range model, like the Thermos King or Hercules, it does retain temperature better and is to some degree better built. I have owned the Hercules for over a year and it has been reliable though not always enough, in capacity or heat retention. For the plastic, it does affect the smell of water but not taste as far as I can tell. And the smell won't go away. I have tried: Bicarbonate of soda, Vinegar, Washing up liquid, to name a few but it does not seem to take it away. This is a real shame, as everything else is very good. I can't escape the feeling of consuming some of the plastic when drinking.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Plastic cork ! Plastic cup inside
Stainless steel vacuum inside , but horrible plastic plug from top and plastic cup to drink from it. You can smell those plastic every time when you drink hit drinks from vacuum.
