  • Very poor quality. Film itself was not very engaging

The DVD jumped all the time. You could watch it but it wasn’t comfortable for your eyes and it ruined my enjoyment of the film. The suppliers did however offer me a replacement straight away. So you can’t grumble with that

  • Utter rubbish!

This has got to be the worst film ever made. Laughable effects like you would see in a 1950's ghost train. Puerile story telling that has no relationship with the facts and stories of Borley. Terrible and often irrelevant meaningless dialogue. A poor attempt at drama by adding constant dramatic music and lots of loud bangs. That does not make drama, though it would appear that all modern film makers seem to think it does. There are now three films purporting to be about Borley Rectory and its alleged hauntings. The only one worth seeing is the latest one "Borley Rectory" with Jonathan Rigby and Reece Shearsmith. The other two, "The Haunting at the Rectory" and particularly this one, "The Haunting of Borley Rectory" are a must to avoid.

  • The Haunting of Borley Rectory

Poor Story, terrible filming, soldiers with incorrect uniforms, stubble beards and longer hair than would be for the period, sets very poorly dressed (a modern nylon fake fur throw used to cover a settee in one very obvious case) over saturated colour with high contrast that spoils the look of the overall film and finally a story line that barely holds ones attention. Not Recommended.

  • Poor acting and not worth a second look

I don't know who reviewed this film but to give it 5 stars is a joke. Home alone was more scary. Not impressed at all, acting was very poor and was like they were making the script up as they went along.

  • The haunting of Borley rectory.

Don't bother, a mish mash of gore , with not much of a story to it. In one word "Rubbish".
