First of all let me say I love this band. Every album they release sounds nothing like the previous one and this is definately no exception. I would say though that this is one of The Cure's most demonstrative and unpredicatble albums. It's not one of my favourite Cure albums but shows the band do have lots of courage and conviction in what they do and aren't afraid of trying something new. Although this was released in 1996 it still sounds ahead of its time and different to everything else around in that era. Another talent that Robert Smith has always had.
This is a great Cure album. It is very different to all the other albums. I particularly enjoy the opening track 'Want' which is extremely uplifting, a classic opener. I am fond of the lyrics on tracks such as 'Want' and also 'Strange Attraction,' my interpretations are probably different to their original conceptions but interpreting them whilst listening is what I like about the cure.
