The music on this CD is still as good as when it first came out. It is vibrant and memorable. The first two songs on the CD and the most well known, i.e. Baker Street and Right Down the Line. The other thirteen tracks are also good. Gerry Rafferty has a great voice and he does not get drowned out by the musical instruments. This is a CD that can be played and listened to in all types of occasions, as well as when you just want to mellow out.
I'm not sure if it's just the way it was recorded in the UK or not. The mids are pushed way upfront and the bass is severely lacking on the soundtrack. If you're OK with that then it should be fine. I have 2 18" subs set at 40 Hz and barely enough bass to listen with interest. I will buy the U.S. version and find out. If anyone has the U.S. version please let me know.
