Risking their lives, they were smuggled into the besieged city to play a concert for its citizens amidst the chaos of war. Speaking of his experience Bruce said, "It changed the way I viewed life, death and other human beings.".
Amazing!! This is a true documentary about Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) and his solo band trekking to war torn Sarajevo in the mid nineties, and playing a gig to fans whilst in the misdst of a civil war with Serbia, with mass genocide occuring all around them. The frontline where most of the shooting and bombing took place was mere miles away and could be seen and heard from the gig itself before, during and after the gig. They were lucky to get out alive. Interviews with Bruce himself, various band members, military personnel, organisers and cameramen/producers who were there at the time. Essential viewing and totally engaging throughout.
