Effective with daily water changes
I have used Easy Carbon to rid my heavily planted aquarium of the dreaded thread algae. The daily water changes and dosing has nearly removed the TA aided by reduced lighting. I would recommend this product to help plants flourish if you don't have a carbon dosing system OR shrimps

I purchased this product after reading the good reviews on this site. I tested my water parameters prior to using this product. I always test my tanks once a week. I added this product to two of my tanks as they contain more natural living plants than the others. The readings on both tanks were; Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrite 0 ppm Nitrate 30 ppm All seemed fine for the first two days after doing a water test and up to approximately ten days, then my plants and my smaller fish started to die. I tested the water on both of the tanks that I used the product on. Both came back with readings of; Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrite 0 ppm Nitrate 160 ppm No other changes had been made to my tanks other than the use of this product. This product has completely crashed my tank and it has become very toxic which no amount of water changes were seemingly able to fix. More plants were added to try and absorb the Nitrate in addition to the water changes listed below, the plants just died off. This product has cost me £100's of pounds in damages to both plant and fish and many hours trying to make my tank non toxic. I don't know whether the problem is with the batch of product I have or not. Water changes implemented during a 2 week period. Day 1 20% Day 2 20% Day 3 50% Day 4 20% Day 5 30% Day 6 80% Day 7 20% Day 8 20% Day 9 80% Day 10 80% Day 11 80% Day 12 80% Day 13 25% Day 14 25% The tank clean out also included a filter clean out, pipe clean out and two thorough cleans and rake of the sand substrate. Please note I did not overdose this product and used slightly under the recommended dose 4.5 ml for a 240 ltr aquarium and 2ml for my 125 ltr. It was suggested to increase the dose to double which I refused to do as my tank had become so toxic already through using this product. My Aquariums are finally at an acceptable level for the water parameters; Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrite 0 ppm Nitrate 40 ppm Although a 20% water change is continuing in my larger tank as the smaller one I have got down to; Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrite 0 ppm Nitrate 5 ppm Both tanks took two weeks to get them to this level.Read full review

Easycarbo..........
I used to use pressurised co2 in my planted aquarium but refill problems and a faulty regulator made me give liquid carbon a try. I’ve tried various makes over the past year or so and although they all seem to work I’ve found that the Easylife range of products to be good value. Obviously liquid carbon doesn’t give results like gas but your plants will still do well on Easycarbo.
