For sale, Rose Marie (1936, DVD ). 1936 musical-western film, the 2nd of 3 film-adaptations of the original 1924 Broadway musical. Starring Jeanette MacDonald as a Canadian soprano who is informed one night by a man that her brother has escaped from prison and killed a Mountie, and sets out across the country to find him. Disc could benefit from a wipe, and has usual minor marks or signs of usage, but other than that, it looks pretty good. Working perfectly when tested, and in very reasonable condition. Also starring David Niven in a brief cameo role. A great musical with adventure, and plenty to entertain old film lovers. A film with one of my favourite actors which I am sadly letting go of due to saving up for travelling.

  • Mac and Eddy at their best

One of the greatest romances on film and possibly the best Mac and Eddy movie. The songs are memorable, the use of opera is brief but effective, and the acting is enjoyable. The relationship between the two leads is electric.
