Just what I wanted
I've an older Dell desktop low-profile case, and I had upgraded the video card. My main monitor is HDMI, but my older second monitor is only VGA...good enough for what I use it for. However, due to the positions of the special bus connections on the motherboard, which required me to relocate the VGA connector to the far opposite end of the set of rear panel positions, the stock VGA connector/ribbon cable assembly was now too short for my application. I found this and thought I'd give it a try. I'm happy to report that the ribbon cable reaches about 8 inches, which is plenty for me. I exchanged the provided (full-height) adapter plate with the Dell OEM (low-profile) plate, lined up Pin 1 of the ribbon cable's 16-pin connector to Pin 1 of the video card VGA board header connection, and in 5 minutes I was happily running a second monitor. Shipping was quick (USPS), and I've no problems with the transaction.
