EASY & QUICK TO USE AS ESSENTIAL BACKUP FILE STORAGE UNIT
Very useful with lots of capacity for any type of computer file storage. Just copy and paste straight into this hard drive, it is as simple as that. Particularly useful for storing masses of photos and or movies from a proper large high definition camera when on holiday away from home. Very robust, although just like any other piece of electronic equipment, do not drop it onto anything solid, otherwise some internal mechanism or micro circuit might get damaged. Drive failed totally
This drive Failed totally in 1 month... Computer went beep, beep, beep and drive went click, click, click. This drive is not working at all and all data lost. I wanted to try this Maxtor 2Tb Portable drive and was reluctant to stray from my preferred brand of Samsung, which have served me well but with the drive manager looking so close to the Samsung one, I thought this drive was going to be as good. Great storage in small unit, Mac compatible
I took care to set it up for Mac rather than PC and it worked well, first time. Great storage in a small, easy to use unit. The shortish cable is a plus point for this neat and fully portable item. excellent drive
excellent drive - quiet, decently fast and good value. usb 3.0 so can be used for xbox one which is what i use it for. its compatible with mac and windows and automatically installs driver,. have'nt tried linux. Comes with a hdd made from seagate with 3yr warranty so really happy with the purchase. the warranty starts from when u register it online. The hard drive is an excellent size and has a tiny blue light to let you know when it is on. Only negative is the cable is tiny as with most external hdds nowadays which limits how far you can place the drive. the speed is not as fast as a ssd but space is amazing. 2TB is great allowing you to store tons of stuff.
