Great Game served as a passing of the torch to watch my kids enjoy this game as much as I did when I was their age . Great feeling to see this.

I bought this being a fan of the original game. It has great new monsters, vastly improved graphics but it falls horribly short in the form of monster control. Made for the Wii the controls are based on movement but that does not work well with their attempts to have depth in the play area. I would have preferred a way to turn off motion control and use the old school button control.

Despite the reviews that you may have read on various sites. This game has the ability to keep you entertained for hours. I tried it for the first time with a friend in co-op mode and we played non-stop for countless hours because of all the characters, stat points and other unlock ables that you could obtain. We had good times good, good laughs, and good memories. If your looking for a fun party game that all ages can enjoy don't think twice about picking this up.
My eight-year old son and I love playing this game together. We play together to destroy various cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, London, etc. Each city is eerily similar to those actual cities (with a little twist on their famous sites ~ for instance, Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco is called Chocolate Square). You have to destroy something like 5 blocks within each city, each within a specified time frame. Your enemies are the police and military who are trying to attack you from airplanes, helicopters, building windows, tanks, and the ground. To get rid of them, you can stomp on them, pound your fists on them, punch them, or if they're on the ground, you can swipe them up and eat them (which actually gives you more power)! Along the way, you can unlock new monster characters to be, unlock new powers by completing given challenges (i.e. eat 3 cows, destroy 8 trains, find a bag of gold, etc.), and unlock new cities to destroy. I've found it to be a great way to get out your frustrations from the day. Also, being a huge fan of the old 80's arcade version of Rampage, I'm enjoying reliving my childhood. The only negative I've found is that it takes a little while to get used to using the controller. Once you get used to it, LET THE DESTRUCTION BEGIN!!!Read full review
It's a really fun old arcade game thats been updated with 21st century graphics. The game is really fun in two player mode, to team up with your kids. My 7 year old daughter, really gets into destroying the buildings and tossing cars. There are several methods for destroying buildings, (punching, kicking, stomping on the roof, etc..)There are several hidden prizes you can earn by smashing the buildings, and cars, street cars, light posts etc. The game contains no blood & guts, or bad language, just alot of stress releiving building destruction (After all, your a large, very powerful monster !!). *DOWN SIDE- The game also has the old arcade version installed to play on the disc -- it's good just to see how far we have come since the early 80's, but the game play is soooo outdated and crummy-- it's not worth playing. ** You should be able to buy this game for about 20 bucks -- anything over 24 bucks and I suggest you keep looking. I give RAMPAGE an enthusiastic thumbs up !!Read full review
When we got a Wii for Christmas this year, my wife and I picked up Rampage and Super Monkey Ball for it. My 6 year old and I like the rampage games on the PS1 and so we figured we would give this a try. We started out standing up, swing our arms and battering buildings. After standing for 45 minutes or so, we decided to sit down and bash away. Eventually our arms got tired and we figured out that we could destroy the buildings without waving our arms in a bashing fashion so we settled into the routine of playing it like a game on an old school system. The game itself was fun and had it not been past his bed time and the wife would be home soon, we would have kept on playing. This is a really nice twist on the old Rampage games. It has much more depth than the previous Rampage games and substantially improved graphics. The play is much enhanced with the Wii's controllers and depending on how you play it, it will give you a real nice workout. All in all, this game rocks. The only negative I could say is that if you own it on another system, it probably isn't worth buying it again but if all you have is a Wii and an extra 30 bucks, this is a very fun distraction which in my case keeps me coming back for more.Read full review
This is a spin off of the classic arcade game of Rampage. The game is more updated, but the same rules apply... DESTROY, EAT, DESTROY! The game play is a little harder with the Wiimotes, as you have a more 3D experience, but the characters don't always move how you want them. There are the older versions of the game also available to play and we find ourselves playing them more than the new updated version. This is a good game, but there are some minor flaws. I would give it a solid B+, but it's not a A+ game.
This game has been enjoyed, as well as LOVED, by my two children. Not only do they love playing - we all do. Up to 4 players, and all can destroy city after city, eating people, cows, police, etc... In addition to eating the people, you get to smash cars, trees, building, and extra's. Provides hours of family fun and entertainment. Highly recommend for any family - even though the eating people part is leaning to the older crowd, my little ones - 5 & 6 years old, love it and equate it to spongebob on t.v. as - its not real, only a game. So, this game provides plenty of entertainment, a changing environment, and new monsters through out the game.
I love the game don't get me wrong but, I was disappointed in the description of the condition of the disc. It didn't say anything about scratches but, there were scratches on it and I don't buy scratched items as far as movies, music, or game discs. I was displeased with that part of the game. If you are going to give a description, tell the truth about all of it. But, it works so I accepted it. I love the game though, I had been tried to get it for a while and, it kept being too much. My wife got it on here and, I was astounded. I am still playing it. You have 40 characters to unlock, everyone does have same powerups but, they all do them differently. This is a classic game, if you loved Rampage when it first came out, you will love this version and, I forgot to mention. There are two classic versions of the game along with the game itself: Rampage for Nintendo(I believe) and Rampage: World Tour for SNES. I was like totally excited and suprised when I found those on there, and they are still the same games they were years ago, awesome! I totally recommend this game to anyone who loved Rampage, when it first came out. Even to people who like destruction games, you will love this game!Read full review
I bought it because I have and love Rampage: World Tour for my Nintendo 64, so I figured it'd be great on my new Wii too. The controls are really taking some getting used to. Granted, I've owned my console just barely longer than I've owned this game so I'm still getting used to the console itself, but the other games I purchased are much easier to play than this one. You move around in the cities just like the 64 one, but in this one you have the third dimension to walk in too, not just left and right. Tipping the front of the remote down moves your character closer to you, rather than away from you. I'm not sure if it's normal for it to be backwards like this, but it makes it difficult for me to navigate in the game because I assume the controls should be the other way around. Overall, if I keep playing it I think I'll like it better, it just takes some getting used to.Read full review
