Great Little radio with excellent reception.

An old fashion type radio with LW,MW & FM frequencies. This type of radio is good quality made and the reception is excellent on all modes. Since Nigel Farage left LBC radio, I no longer listen to LBC due to certain left wing broadcasters and BBC Radio 5 Live is just boring. So I now listen to RTE 1 the Irish station which is available on LW at 252. Its a great station full of very interesting talk programme,s. The reception is excellent on this little type radio. I am really happy with this purchase.

    Not a good buy

Not impressed I have had several Robert's radios in the past, but this is not up to the usual Robert's high standard. Tuning is not easy and the sound quality is far from good

  • Roberts are always good . Digital radio is flawed . Stick to analogue .

Really good radio . Rich sound and fairly precise tuning . Could have done with rigid carry handle . Maybe a tuning bass/treble but it's not far off perfect anyway . Long Wave and Medium Wave are national treasures . I can listen to LW cricket in West Ireland . With digital radio I can walk down the road and lose signal . Completely . It's either brilliant or absent . Buy a Roberts analogue radio while there is a LW signal !!

  • Bit small but does the job well.

A smaller radio than the picture implied, never-the-less the speaker seems to be of adequate full size within the whole body to give a nice sound. Main thing is we've now got the BBC on Long Wave for those Test Cricket commentaries which only go out on that frequency !

  • "Good value , makes for good listening," Your slogan from me to you.

Good value, I like it , its got quality sound , is very easy to use, looks dammed good in the kitchen," Roberts is not for robots but it is for connesiuers."

  • Robert’s quality

Small analogue twist to tune radio . Sound quality for size excellent , good little piece of kit for garage or greenhouse. Only downer is that you don’t get a mains lead in the box . However , such a good piece for such a teeny price . Much lauded item , good all round

  • Great room filling sound

Good choice for a kitchen or workshop radio, mains adapter built in or battery operation. Very good reception even without aerial extended on FM. Separate bass and treble controls. Has 10 presets for each band. Typical Roberts audio and construction quality.

  • Mains Adaptor???

I owned a Roberts radio years ago and thought it great quality so bought again. Can't say qualities bad, but sold as (on the box), with mains option. Tried everything to get a compatible mains adaptor from Currys PC World who i purchased item from, and they didn't sell one...suggested i contact Roberts. I did, and to my amazement, Roberts eventually emailed me to say they didn't actually stock an adaptor for this ( their own!!) radio and suggested i buy re-chargeable batteries. WHAT!!!! Wheres the mains option advetised???? Sent Back.

  • Another Reliable Roberts

Got this to add to my growing collection of radios - nice to have one in every room in the house ! This one is simplicity itself - does what it should. Easy to use and it takes AA batteries (which I recharge). It's got classic lines and it's priced very well - very glad I bought it. I live in an area that doesn't have the best reception but this radio rises above the poor signal we sometimes get.

  • Roberts quality.

A typical good quality Roberts radio. The reception is very good with an easy listening sound. Volume is plentiful. The down side is that the radio was not supplied with an electric connection lead.
