Stylish, easy to use, makes a better cup of coffee. My only negative is....it's listed as a 3 cup, but Bodum's 3 cup is really only 12 oz. which is what I was looking for. This model is actually more like 24 oz or more. I have others this size & really wanted the small one.

This is a great product. I don’t have issues with grounds in my coffee, the filter works well. Time brewing depends on the person, but mine takes about 5 minutes. Good quality French press I’m a happy coffee drinker.

I had one of these little brewers last year and when my youngest moved to his new home he claimed it for his new life - I returned to World Market to repurchase it only to find it gone from stock so I purchased another Bodum brand but different style. Though the new one was adequate, I missed my Brazil bodum. I found this one thru ebay! It brews just perfectly & to my liking and is very portable so I use it at work and when I travel. Just the right amt of coffee (a large cup of coffee) and I get my preferred coffee brand. A real got-to-have item for the serious coffee drinker. You can get different flavors of beans, grind it before using and the coffee drink is sweet and fresh. I highly recommend this item! Has ultimately saved me money by using individual scoops of coffee and no waste either - cleanup is a snap and coffee is available when very hot water is on hand. No fuss - no mess.Read full review
I like this Brazil French Press. However, I think I was expecting more from it. I did the research and decided Bodum was the company that made the best french press. After using the product, I realized it wasn't much better than the cheap french press I used to own. In particular, the metal mesh part lost its form and made it difficult to pull the plunger out the first few times I used it. This was nothing a little handling couldn't fix. Overall, I wouldn't call this the BEST french press but it does its job.
I decided to stop spending over $700 a year on buying my coffee in the morning from a famous coffee purveyor, and this is perfect for my needs. I brought my coffee, a tablespoon, and my Bodum, and it is just as easy as making instant coffee. I pour the coffee in, get hot water from the water dispenser, stir it around, then press. Voila! Perfect 2-3 cups of coffee I can pour into my own ceramic or insulated travel mug. Clean up is just as easy. I also use it on the weekends at home, for just the right amount with no waste.
To begin, a relatively minor point: the coffee maker I ordered and received is red. Noisy red, but a little more cheerful than my old black one. I broke my previous Bodum--an earlier version of the same model. The newer version makes some modifications in how the lid fits into the carafe and in the connection between plastic handle and glass carafe; both of these are improvements, though not vital ones. At first, I found the almost-inseparable handle and carafe annoying, but it does protect the carafe somewhat better. The coffee maker is essentially the same and it's well-made. I make coffee in various ways and French press is a good one. It is important to disassemble the plunger and clean it frequently, so old grounds don't get trapped in it.
A coffee Press or French Press is a pretty simple thing that does one thing particularly well. It brews a cup of coffee to your own individual taste. You control how long it brews, adjusting the strength of your blend to your liking This Bodum "Brazil" single cup press is even better than the one I bought ten years ago. All the parts are replaceable so you could, conceivably, use one for your entire life. My old one has a little chip on the beaker, that's why I bought this new one, otherwise it is as useful as the day I bought it. This new one is an improvement in that the beaker is a bit thicker and the plastic parts a bit stronger. I love mine and suspect you'll love yours too!
I bought this as a gift because we had used one just like it at my son's home and were so impressed with the taste of the coffee and the tea when made with this press. Therefore, I decided to buy one for myself and one for each of my friends which were the ones I purchased here. The coffee and tea made with this press cannot even be compared to coffee or tea made the regular way because they are in a class superior and all alone in that class. And they are also available in larger sizes but, it is nice that they come in this 12 oz size for us singles.
I use it for camping. Perfect little press, fits a beer coozie around the glass beaker perfectly-(helps keep the coffee hot) Its cheap, the plastic bottom and lid protect it from getting cracked, and best of all it's portable. The only downside is that the bottom cap/handle piece is very hard to take off for cleaning. The plunger and mesh screen unit is most definitely superior to the other coffee presses I have used in the past. I would give this Bodum Brazil french press a solid two thumbs up and recommend it to anyone looking for a great little coffee press!
