Just the job for punching felt & leather 'washers'. I am a Church Pipe Organ Builder. Many parts of mechanical organ actio (the works inside) are connected together with coarse threaded phosphor-bronze wires...around 14SWG. The leather 'buttons' (like leather nuts) usually also act as an adjustment point. Sometimes it's metal parts...sometimes wooden that are connected together in this way. We have to make thin beize washers to stop the parts clattering against each other as notes are played. The washers are made by using these hollow punches; also known as a 'Wad Punch'. We can then just make a hole in the middle of the cut beize circle using a bradawl. Sometimes we may use a second smaller punch for the centre hole.

Competitive price, robust and easy to handle. What more do you want? I required to punch holes in a number of belts that I have received as gifts and the punch that I had, ( one of those with a rotating head with various bore punches), was pretty useless. So, thinking back to my days in a shipyard, I decided to purchase leather punches. Not disappointed.

A cheap set of punches for general use. Not really suited to leather or similar.
