Classic story
Heart warming story in which Silas finds his faith again after suffering life changing wrongs. The author of this book, which was followed to make the DVD, shows that she has a deep understanding of each character and how the greed of one can have devastating effects on others. Easily the shortest of George Eliot's novels but well worth the time to take full appreciation of it. A complex story with many involving facets but George Eliot has blended all of these incredibly well considering the space available to her.
