Alignment of the headstock and the tailstock centres on an Axminster AC370WL wood lathe.
It is a simple idea that turns a general-purpose wood lathe into a precision wood lathe for centre drilling. I just gently tapped one side of the double morse taper into the tail stock, eased it into the loosened head stock; once centred I locked off the head stock to the lathe bed, released and slid back the tail stock locking it into the required position. I then knocked out the double morse location tool confident in the knowledge that both ends were then perfectly aligned for drilling and turning. Magic!
