simmons repair kit - good quality
Bought this to fix one of our out door hydrants and it is holding up fine. Just bought another kit to fix a second one. Takes a little time to replace but had a neighbor help and everything went fine. A lot cheaper going this route than digging out the old hydrant and putting in a new one. Worked perfectly, hydrant is like new
With this kit I was able to rebuild my hydrant to like-new condition. The hydrant had been hard to operate, started to leak, and the rubber plunger tore off inside the pipe when I tried to disassemble it. I had to dig up the entire unit & reach in the bottom to remove the hunk of rubber. Once I got that out, though, I could see that the inside of the hydrant was in perfect condition. I installed this kit, set the rod length so the valve gently snaps shut when it is closed, and am now good to go. It actuates much more easily and, of course, doesn't leak any more.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
