A really good aftermarket air filter replacement that saves money & improves performance
I did a lot of looking before deciding not to buy an OEM air filter for my car. The simple reason was it was too expensive - and for no reason other than it has BMW or VW on the box. After looking for a long time and reading some reviews it turns out probably the best aftermarket air filter your money can buy is the Pipercross filter. Its intended to increase the air intake potential as much as possible and eliminate as much restriction as possible. Imagine trying to breath through a blanket. or several layers of folded paper. That is what the standard filters are like. So when I saw this Pipercross from Epparts was a good price I decided to go for it. Its great being able to have a more technically advanced filter and washable too. That's what makes the decision to buy a no-brainer. And this is the third filter Ihave bought from Epparts now. Very helpful person too. I recommend totally. Will look after you but cant protect you from your own silliness. Make sure you know what filter choices there are for your model. I didn't know the same car could have a different air box so watch out for that even if you have several of the same cars! Make sure your air box is nice and clean too when putting filter in.Read full review

Better than buying a replacement filter after a service . The filter itself is about 1/3 the thickness of a paper 1.. and piperx is cheaper and as they all do the same thing it made sense. . For those saying THEY CAN FEEL THE *PERFORMANCE* I laugh at you. Replacing an air filter alone won't do anything. . ..
