Edited, introduced and annotated by Cedric Watts, M.A., Ph.D., Emeritus Professor of English, University of Sussex. The Wordsworth Classics' Shakespeare Series presents a newly-edited sequence of William Shakespeare's works. The textual editing takes account of recent scholarship while giving the material a careful reappraisal. Much Ado About Nothing has long been celebrated as one of Shakespeare's most popular comedies. The central relationship, between Benedick and Beatrice, is wittily combative until love prevails. Broader comedy is provided by Dogberry, Verges and the watchmen.
The book arrived earlier than stated which was great! Although the spine is quite creased through use the book is good for reading/annotating - I'm using it for my GCSEs. The only other downside is that the names of the previous owners are written in pen on the front inside page and the first few lines of the play are underlined in pencil, however all the other pages are in great condition (absolutely no rips or folded corners of pages)
Overall, it's a worthwhile product I'd recommend.
Not only a classic, but a hilarious one. This has got to be in he top Shakespeare plays, this play is witty and full of fun. Not only gold-dust to an English Literature student, but also a must-have in every cultured bookshelf or library. I would recommend this play to everyone. On a quality note, the paper is high grade and the print is clear and bold on the page, sometimes this is not the case in plays.
