if you are interested in road transport its a must read
it gives you a good idea ;of how hard it was for heavy goods drivers in the 40s and 50s when there was no motorways and luxurious lorries and they could only drive at low speeds so it took ages to get anywhere and they had to live life under hard conditions and how they made the best of it
