Product Description : Milankovitch and Climate: Understanding the Response to Astronomical Forcing (Nato Science Series C:, 126)," Proceedings of the NATO Advanced Research Workshop, Palisades, New York, U.S.A., November 30December 4, 1982
Climate change; CO2 production is unimportant. It's Milankovitch cycles.
Milankovitch cycles - changing insolation above 65 degrees associated with varying regular changes in the earth's position in relationship to other planets and the sun - provides a much more coherent explanation for ice-ages and varying-temperature inter-glacial periods, than does the presently fashionable human-produced excess of CO2. The earth's climate has always changed; sometimes it is warmer, but usually it is colder.
The book is weighty and contains lots of evidence, not all immediately comprehensible to a non-cognescenti like me. But it's good to have it in my library.
