Charming at first glance, but actually pretty grim. Avoid.
I gave it two stars because it does cover many of the key stories in the bible. However the main theological foundation comes over as God's judgement on sinful humans. This is clearly one thread in the bible but certainly not the main one and hardly the best to choose for a children's bible I would think. Also the choice of stories is very strange. For example a full coverage of Jesus talking to Nicodemus about the mystery of being born again and yet not one single parable. REALLY? Then there's the fact that there's no racial diversity in the illustrations. We get used to the Middle-Eastern Jew Jesus being portrayed as a white European but Egyptians, Africans etc too? REALLY?
