This text details the trials, tribulations and human story behind the restoration of the gardens of Aberglasney. Central to the book is an attempt to explain what the garden stands for - when and what was created, and for whom.
Penny David was an Oxford historian before working in publishing for over twenty years. In 1985 she returned to her native Wales where she has collaborated with a number of publishers, specialising more and more in plants and gardens and writing in particular with Penny Hobhouse. She is the author of A Garden Lost in Time which charts the restoration of the ancient gardens of Aberglasney.
