Excellent concise little book
I think all Dorling Kindersley books are excellent, but this one is particularly good. Nice clear layout, with lots of photos plus added tips to help you get it right. The book starts with some important info about how to preserve food safely. Then it covers topics from freezing to pickling and gives lots of recipes. So far I've tried the pickled red cabbage (so healthy and trendy!) and plum chutney - this one was a serious hit with my family and guests, so we've already finished the 3 jars I made and I'm about to make more... Highly recommended.

Useful and interesting especially when you have a glut of produce handy.
A good little book that gives you the fundamentals on preserving food. I like the fact that it increases in levels of difficulty regards techniques the more you read. The stage by stage pictures are most useful.
