I had a motherboard I bought about 6 years ago, but never used it as it had the old AGP graphics card slot. As this processor was of the right type and similar to one I was already using in another computer, I decided to buy it to use the old motherboard as the price was very reasonable and I also had the correct cooler and fan in my collection. The computer runs so well I have used it as my main computer ever since. As I'm not a gamer, the graphics card isn't a major problem.
A much faster processor for my Windows 2003 server, this processor has improved the server performance and it can now handle everything that I throw at it without the usual delay. Smooth fast running for all of the server applications including SharePoint Portal Server, Exchange 2003 and Microsoft Virtual Machine for software testing (the main use of the server) Great stuff..
This is it what I looking for. This processor have a good performance like on his price , in my opinion is good enough for most applications and if you have a nice graphic card for all new games.
This was an upgrade to my main internet machine an ACER T180 - It originally came with a 3800 sempron cpu. I have to say for the money paid it was well worth the upgrade as the pc is now a lot nippier - especially in multi-tasking
