My gran had an over glove like this draped over the drying rail of the Rayburn when I was a little boy 70 years ago. My mother always used one too. I bought this one because the one I had before - not this brand - had finally shrunk - from my wife's enthusiastic washing schedule - to the point where I could no longer get my hands in it. It is good quality and excellent to use. I would like it to open on both sides like some others do but that means it's just one small feature short of perfection. Just got to keep it out of the washing machine!!

I had read in a review that said they were too thick to pick things up easily,so i put them to the test with my most difficult to get out of the oven dish and had absolutely no problems at all! Im a chef, this is an old school oven glove, i first used this type at catering college many years ago, they dont look fancy but they are the best, they wash well and you will have this glove for along time, however its a little short in length but it works fine, for the price i recommend, having two is a good idea so when you wash one you have another at hand.
