These are super pencils for marking out wood that is dark, where an ordinary lead pencil line barely shows up. I also used it on a leather belt when drilling out some new holes. Very pleased with them

I was looking for a sustainable alternative to a plastic glass marker. This isn't it! The 'lead' breaks easily and when you can get a point, the marks it makes on glass are faint and spasmodic. You would get a better result trying to write with wax crayon. Total waste of time. Fortunately, they didn't cost a lot and I can dispose of them without taking up landfill. Perhaps I will have better luck with a different brand, perhaps not.

Chinagraph white pencils. Good quality but no string to “sharpen” and being so soft, a small pencil sharpener tends to block
