Lovely looking kettle, lighter than it looks. It's fairly quick to boil and pours well, but I have to say there's a slight design thing with the lid. You have to lift it to fill the kettle, and when you put it down it's easy to catch the filter bit - you have to push it in each time. Overall, good stylish kettle, excellent value.

Really disappointed with this item We live in a hard water area and I had to descale it within the first week and twice since The spout filter has gaps at each side so does not filter the water properly so you end up with scaly bits in your tea and coffee that you then have to try and fish out - yuk. I resorted to using a tea strainer for a slightly better result - what a faff. Very slow to boil Noisy Now consigned to a cupboard as an emergency kettle and I have had to buy different model Only redeeming feature is the pretty blue light

Nice looking kettle. Cheapest I've seen for this particular type of kettle. Only one downside is that it's a bit on the slow to boil side. Apart from this it's very good value for an attractive addition to the kitchen

It's a kettle after all and performs its function very well. However, this kettle deserves a little more praise as it's the first time I have owned a glass kettle and I'm really pleased I went for this particular one. I had read several of the reviews which rated it very highly and I must concur. It boils fast, does not drip (as my previous kettle had done) when the lid is up, it's very stylish and looks great with all the LED's illuminated as it heats the water, and lastly, its great value for money. The only (minor) down side (it still gets 5 star’s from me) is when the kettle is lifted off the base plate, it does not switch the kettle off. You have to remember to switch it off at the on/off switch located at the top of the handle, otherwise when you put it back on the base plate, the kettle will continue operating. It’s a minor issue and is something I am getting used too, as all my previous kettles had the on/off switch near the base, so when the kettle was lifted from its base plate the kettle automatically switched off. However, this is the reason why I replaced my old kettle as it was the switch located near the base that had failed, so having the on/off switch at the top of the handle should make for a more robust / better designed on/off switch.Read full review

I have lost confidence with both the brand and make of kettle. As the thermostat and power switch both failed that could have lead to a house fire, if it weren't the quick actions of my partner who noticed when returning to the house that the kichen was full of steam and the kettle had almost boiled dry. The kettle had activated when the switch was in the off position, which is a serious failure of the appliance. On closer inspection the kettle would operate if switched on or off, we are now in the process of returning the kettle. We have two small children and if this incident had occurred whilst asleep it could have been fatal, due to the electrical fire that would most likely insue from the heater element overheating.
