Truly The King of Hearts - R.I.P.
A very good Roy Orbison album giving a very good range of tracks all exibiting Roy's outstanding vocal range. Not perhaps as good as Mystery Girl but still a fine tribute to the man and his music - believe it was released soon after his death. Seems a tad cobbled together of new/unreleased tracks but "We'll take the night" and "After the love has gone" would grace any compendium of the Big O's best songs.
Not so good Roy
This album is nowhere near as good as any of his other albums. It has a few throwaway songs, and his voice was beginning to fade a bit. I found this quite disappointing, saved only by Crying and I drove All Night, which by the way, is nowhere neaar as Cyndi Laupers terrific version
Good title,sums up Roy.
I bought this cd as it was another one of Roys i didnt have and i try to get as much as Roys stuff as possible,if i see something of his i havent got i bid for it and hopefully, win it.Its a good cd,nothing about it to dislike, but then again,i love everything that Roy has done.
