You don't need Malice to tell you that this book is amazing.
As a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan since the age of 6, I have always embraced and loved the characters it has produced - especially Faith. So when I saw this book, I had to have it. At the start I was skeptical about how good it would be, and reading the first entry of the book I was like "what have you done to Faith..?", but after carrying on I really got into it, and I've literally not been able to put it down for the last two days. Robert Joseph Levy really gets into character as Faith, and really uses her language, attitude and personalty to dive into aspects of Faith's character and life never explored in the TV show. When reading it I can totally imagine the situations that happen, and can hear Faith's voice in the diary entries, using her tough-guy, straight-to-the-point words and slang. I always worried that when reading books like this that it would change the characters I loved, or tell a story that wouldn't fit in with what was said about them in Buffy, but actually Levy fits Faith's story in around the show, keeping it true to Faith's character. I've read many other Buffy books from this author, all I would totally recommend them all, as they all so accurately describe and use all our favourite characters from the show. Basically, for die-hard Faith fans, this is a must.Read full review
Finally we got to know Fatith's past! That's great.. and the diary makes it really easier to understand what's going on inside her head, which another form wouldn't have!
