Call Me Evil, Let Me Go is the true story of a normal teenage girl who was sent into a church by her parents, which turned out to be a cult. Ten years later she was still trapped there, with four young children of her own (the church had 'arranged' her marriage to another church member when she was just 18 years old). A terrifying true story of Tadford Charismatic Church (which by all accounts still exists today) where church (cult) members are actively encouraged to beat their children from being babies - it's very harrowing at times but it's compelling reading and very educational, as little is really known about these oppressive groups with them operating under such a veil of secrecy. Highly recommended book ☺
