I bought this for a couple of fairly deep chips in my windsc...reen. I wasn't expecting much from this because of the cost but found it to be an excellent product that was extremely easy to use. It filled the cracks in very well. Whilst it wasn't totally invisible, it left the chip 95% erased and also will add strength to this area to prevent the screen cracking from this point. This item will do 2 chips

It is good resin but it tends to shoot out on your fingers at time of f...irst opening, so most of it might be easly lost straight away. It penetrates cracks well, sets well in sunshine, scrapes well with razor blade. If it comes to filing pit holes it can be easly removed to the point that pit holes are exposed again. It all comes to little vague explanation in manual. I found that it has to be sanded down and polished with some scratch remover for good results. Cosidering price of the kit, if you have a lot of patience it's probably worth to give it a go. I think I'll use professional help for £10-15 next time.

This stuff works wonders. Follow ...the instuctions, take your time and prepare in advance. Try to get loose glass out before applying. Clean the glass to get the best adhesion from the syringe and pick a sunny day. Now the drawback... Most insurers will pay to have this done (apparently). If you attempt this yourself, you run the risk of leaving bubbles in the chip, which essentially means the weakness is still there. If this happens, a window care specialist cannot go over your work, as it has effectively sealed the only entrance to the crack- and you're stuffed. I was unlucky. Whilst setting the syringe, I was working on a car stereo. I turned on the ignition, didn't realise that the stereo was resting on the screen wash stalk and the wiper blade knocked the syringe off, leaving a bubble in the chip. (This is the 4th window I've treated) so it can go wrong... If you have the option, get it done professionally. If not, this is cheaper than a ticket from the police, a cracked windscreen and an mot failure.

My BMW had a "half moon" crack (6-7mm in diameter) which was quite visible when driving and occured after a stone impact. The chip was positioned low down and central on the windscreen. I watched videos on you tube showing how these types of kit work and was a little sceptical it would work as well as in the videos. I was wrong ! The kit was simple to use and the combination of applying a simple vacuum followed by pressure from the syringe system really pushes the resin into the crack. I am really glad I gave this a try, rather than paying a professional to do this in the local supermarket car park or at a garage ! For the price the result is brilliant and it is hard to see the original chip apart from the faintest line (which nobody else would even notice). I will be buying another one just to have it ready .

Seems to have done the job - time will tell! The kit... is good quality and the instructions are fairly easy to follow if you are reasonably DIY capable. Not entirely sure it has worked yet as the small star crack is still visible in places and according to the blurb it shouldn't be. The resin doesn't cure properly at low temperatures, which is exactly the case at the moment, so again, I'm not certain that the product has fully worked.
