The Impossibility of Reason is one of those CDs that you love to have but tend not to listen to all that often. But when you do listen to it, you are reminded of just exactly how great it is. Loud crunching and sweeping guitar riffs and fast heavy drum beats get everybody head banging along. Although, the vocalist, Mark Hunter, sounds ever so slightly out of place; his growling vocals seem to be slightly immature for the rest of the medley of instruments. However, this doesn't so much hold back the CD overall as simply give it a unique sound quality which I for one am perfectly happy with. For anybody who enjoys Killswitch Engage and other such metalcore-style groups, or has heard other Chimaira albums, this CD is a must buy for your music library.
