What is now Chris Cornell's last album, this has some beautiful melodies and lyrics that are simply and finely honed as Chris's inimitable voice. 'Wrong side' sounds like the soundtrack to the best western film never made, while 'Only these words' sound like the perfect Disney song. 'Through the Window' and 'Worried Moon' will haunt you with their almost prescient lyrics. 'Murderer of Blue Skies' shows a glimmer of the old Cornell rage but anyone looking for one of his old bass-thumping, roof-raising high energy performances may be a bit disappointed - this is an older, more introspective and mature Chris, his edges are still there, but not as loud or extreme as once before, as in the beautifully understated and poetic 'Circling'. A fine epitaph indeed, not that it should have been one, he should have had years left. Farewell, Chris, hope you found you found your way home.Read full review

Superb album. More laid back than Soundgarden or Audioslave. Lyrics that connect with you (think Audioslave's I Am The Highway. If you like lyrics, there's a lot to get into here) Chris was taken too soon, but he left an incredible legacy for us.

He really nails it with this album. Brilliant lyrics and, as per usual outstanding vocals. Essential.
